Prof PS Robi, Dept of Mechanical Engineering, retired on July 31, 2026, after nearly 30 years of service at IIT Guwahati. He joined the Institute on Feb 19, 1997. Prof Robi was the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department from 2003 to 2006 and the Dean of Research and Development from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Kumud Barman, Executive Engineer in the Infrastructure Planning and Management Section, retired on July 31, 2026 after more than 26 years of service. Mr Barman joined IIT Guwahati on April 17, 2000. The Institute thanks him for his invaluable service and wishes him a happy and healthy retirement.
