IITG Women's Group Organises a Fund Raiser for Assam Flood Victims

The fourth edition of “Fusion Fest” was organised on 6 September 2026 at the B-Type Community Hall, IIT Guwahati, in collaboration with the IIT Guwahati Women's Association (AIKYAM).

This edition of the event was organised with the objective of extending support to people affected by the floods through a community-driven fundraising initiative. Funds raised were routed through the National Social Service unit of the Institute.

The campus community (faculty, staff, families, and students) set up stalls featuring a variety of products including food and homemade items, jewellery, clothing, handicrafts, and other creative products.

Fusion Fest fostered the spirit of community participation, creativity, and social responsibility. Fusion Fest was conceived by campus resident Ms Niraja Nathan in  April 2025. Since then, the event has been conducted twice yearly.
